Ziel der Studie „Datenhandbuch akademische Karrieren 1850-1945“ ist die Veröffentlichung und die Analyse von Daten zu den einzelnen Karrierestufen sechs großer akademischer Karrieren von der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts bis zur Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts: Geschichte und Daten der Karrieren von evangelischen Theologen, Juristen, Medizinern, höheren Lehrämtern, Ingenieuren und Chemikern in den Gebieten Preußens und Deutschland. Under the title “Data Handbook of Academic Careers between 1850-1945”, this study aims at the publication and analysis of data concerning the individual steps of six great academic careers between the mid-19th and the mid-20th century, tracing the professional development of Evangelical theologians, lawyers, physicians, higher education lecturers, engineers, and chemists in the territories of Prussia und Germany by means of a thorough data collection. This handbook comprises and describes the most important steps in the course of these academic careers within the above-mentioned academic domains.
