The main purpose of the study was to identify the number of people infected with coronavirus in Austria as well as to report how people are feeling during this crisis. A representative random sample of 3720 people was drawn based on the Central Population Register of Austria (people living in Austria, excluding those currently in hospital and those aged younger than 16 years). 1528 people answered the questionnaire and from 1279 people PCR testing was analysed to detect an actual coronavirus infection. Nobody was positively tested.
