Anticipatory eye movements for prevention actions?

DOI

In this experiment, we aim to investigate eye movements for prevention actions, i.e., actions leading to the omission of an external event. For operant actions, i.e., actions producing an observable environmental effect, spontaneous anticipatory saccades towards the location of an expected action effect have been shown (e.g., Pfeuffer et al., 2016). Our experiment targets the question of whether similar anticipatory saccades can also be observed towards the location of a predictably prevented event.
