Emotional intelligence (EI) has been shown to be important factor in managing stressful situations, and previous research has suggested a relationship between EI and psychological stress. However, there is a lack of data regarding the physiological correlates of EI. The objective of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the relationship between EI and heart rate variability (HRV).
