These files concern the methodology used in the quantitative part of the EU-funded project KASS (Kinship and Social Security). The methodology centres on a computerised questionnaire - the KNQ (Kinship Network Questionnaire). The attached files include: Folder I, Introduction and Methods; Folder II, Computing Overview; Folder III,Documented Programs. The programs in Folder III are IIIa, the KNQ itself, written in Java; IIIb, DAVD (Download and Variable Derivation) written in C++; IIIc, additional variable derivation programs, written in SPSS.
