The database contains biographical entries on every member of the Austrian National Council (Nationalrat) between the fifth legislative periode (19th of December 1945 - 8th of November 1949) and the twenty-sixth legislative periode (9th of November 2017 – 22nd of October 2019). Altogether the database contains information on 1522 members of parliament. Information provided refers to the socio-educational background, the legislative activity, the political career, and the type of candidacy. The database allows for a comprehensive collective portrait of Austrian parliamentarians.
