The ISSP research module Family and Changing Gender Roles V focuses mainly on gender roles within the household, gender ideology, views on women's employment, marriage, income sharing, work and decision-making in the partnership, family vs. work conflict, satisfaction and happiness, care policies, the value of the child, preferred models of role sharing in the household, alternative family forms and intergenerational solidarity. Following the 2002 and 2012 surveys, the ISSP research module was conducted for the third time in Slovakia in 2022. The survey includes an extensive section of socio-demographic variables focusing on the respondent, his/her spouse and household, which is a standardized and mandatory part of the ISSP modules.

Face-to-face interview: CAPI/CAMI

Adult inhabitants of Slovakia (18+)

A combination of random stratified random sampling of 120 primary sampling units (8 counties x 8 residence-size categories) and a random walk at the collection site to select households was used for data collection. The respondent within the household was selected by the software used to collect answers from the respondent from a list of adult household members. An official letter with a request for cooperation was distributed to respondents at the time of the first contact.
