Qualitative Data for: "Certainly Uncertainty. Public Support for Uncertainty Communication in Science Museums"

DOI

We asked (potential) visitors about their opinion towards uncertainty communication in science museums, revealing overwhelmingly positive attitudes and 12 times as many statements in support of (vs. against) communicating uncertainty in science exhibitions (Question 1). Further, we asked them about ideas on how to implement and address uncertainty in the museum. Our findings suggest that the public does not only tolerate but actively supports uncertainty communication in science museums.
