Compilation/Synthesis

The Historical Series of the Portuguese Banking Sector data is collected and assembled by a working group at Banco de Portugal which was established at the end of 2017 with the objective of  constructing historical series on the Portuguese banking sector.

The Historical Series of the Portuguese Banking Sector Database includes information about banking groups and stand-alone institutions resident in Portugal. The coverage of financial institutions varies depending on the data table.
